* An ostomate is a patient who has had a stoma (excretory opening) created in their abdomen through surgery for the treatment of colon cancer or bladder cancer (one who has an artificial anus or artificial bladder).
Toilets require flushing devices and waste sinks to dispose of the bags (hauchi) that collect excrement.
