The interior decoration of "NS by NOUSAKU" at COREDO Muromachi Terrace was designed by Yuko Nagayama, an architect who also designs jewelry. Tin plates hang from the ceiling like a chandelier, reflecting light beautifully.

The table top on which the jewelry is displayed is also a custom-made item made of tin. It was handcrafted by Nousaku craftsmen with particular attention to its curves that match the jewelry.

Furthermore, the floors and table bases are made of sand that is actually used in tin molds, creating a space that reflects Nousaku's craftsmanship spirit.

In addition to those who have known about Nousaku for some time and are interested in the brand, many people are attracted by the atmosphere and stop by. The shop caters to a wide range of ages, and recently there have been many customers from overseas who drop in and make a large purchase at once.

"NS by NOUSAKU" was produced by Chiharu Nousaku, who just became president of Nousaku in 2023. She says that one of the reasons she wanted to make tin jewelry was because of "tin weddings."

Nousaku proposes a ceremony called a tin wedding to celebrate the milestone of the 10th wedding anniversary, and the head office staff held a surprise tin wedding ceremony to coincide with the president's 10th wedding anniversary. The president was so happy to be able to wear the original tin ring made by the craftsman that he was given as a gift on that occasion, which he layered with his own wedding ring, that it led to his desire to create a tin jewelry brand.

First, the 100% tin that NOUSAKU normally uses was too soft for jewelry, so they started by researching and developing new materials. After much trial and error, they developed a new material called "Tin Gold" for "NS by NOUSAKU." By adding 3% gold to tin, they were able to increase the strength of the material while maintaining the soft impression of tin.

However, tin is a soft metal that can be easily bent by hand, and ear cuffs in particular are popular because they can be bent slightly to fit the shape and thickness of your ear, making them comfortable to wear. This is another benefit of tin, which is soft and light.

Another appealing feature is how well it blends in with the skin. For example, if you wear a choker so that it blends in with your chest, it will look like one with your skin.

The First Collection, created by architect Yuko Nagayama, is based on the brand concept of "smooth tin jewelry that fits gently on the skin" and is designed with a ribbon motif.

Taking advantage of the softness of tin, we created flowing curves that wrap around the body like a ribbon. When you actually wear it, it fits snugly against your body, and you'll be amazed at how light and comfortable it is.

The art director was Asuka Wakida, who was responsible for the design and visuals of the logo, packaging, shopper, and lookbook.
