Introducing "BBTEA by FRAGMENT," a never-before-seen tea that combines black tea and espresso.
"BBTEA by FRAGMENT" was developed by Fujiwara, who enjoys coffee as espresso, as the beverage he wanted to drink right now. It was inspired by the idea of an espresso-infused beverage that even non-coffee drinkers would want to keep sipping. Inspired by En'oucha (mandarin duck tea), Starbucks Coffee Japan development team conducted repeated tastings to find the perfect balance of aroma, texture, and sweetness, resulting in a never-before-seen tea that combines black tea and espresso. The tea is based on deep black tea, blended with lightly roasted espresso, and accented with the subtle sweetness of vanilla-flavored syrup and fresh cream. This exquisite harmony was born from the desire to create a tea that even non-coffee drinkers can enjoy, creating a unique blend of tea and coffee. The name "BBTEA" is an abbreviation of "BLACK BLACK TEA," a combination of "BLACK COFFEE" and "BLACK TEA." This beverage will gently complement your mood as you relax on the grass after enjoying skateboarding at Miyashita Park. The Reserve Usable Cup FR GMT MYST will also be released, a cup that you'll want to carry around with you while putting your BBTEA by FRAGMENT in it. The front features the FRAGMENT symbol, a thunderbolt, and the letters "FR GMT" on the side. The back side also features a special design with "FR GMT" and the thunderbolt printed on it.
