Connecting the Future Project Part 2
AIRDO tie-up event "Aviation Class"
MITSUI OUTLET PARK SAPPORO KITAHIROSHIMA teamed up with AIRDO, the Wings of Hokkaido, to hold an Aviation Class for elementary school children on Saturday, August 20th!
What is the Connecting the Future Project?
As the world moves towards achieving the SDGs, MITSUI OUTLET PARK is reconsidering what it can do for the future and is undertaking new initiatives together with customers, local residents, companies, and store owners.
On the day, AIRDO employees, as well as current pilots and flight attendants, were in attendance and gave clear explanations of themselves, their childhoods, and why they decided to pursue this profession.
We'll start with the part about flight attendants, whose mission is to "help ensure a safe and comfortable air journey for all passengers!"
In the middle of the class, a flight attendant gave a demonstration of an actual announcement. Her refined delivery instantly transformed the atmosphere in the room into that of an airplane.
The children who participated also tried their hand at announcing! It was hard to believe it was their first time, and they captivated the entire audience.
Next up, the pilot section starts by explaining how an airplane works!
We were given a clear and detailed explanation of the pilots' schedules and how to become a pilot. What was IN was that "safe and secure flights are not possible with the efforts of one person, but with the cooperation of many people." Although it was an event for children, we adults were also very impressed.
Everyone looked serious throughout the flight class! Some kids even took notes.
Among the various tasks they perform, one thing they both talked about was having a healthy body. Having a healthy body allows them to work at 100%.
MITSUI OUTLET PARK SAPPORO KITAHIROSHIMA will continue to hold various events in order to create a sustainable future.
Thank you very much to everyone who participated and to everyone at AIRDO!
