It's striped, but it doesn't look like stripes. It's MONPE, but it doesn't look like MONPE.

Farmers' MONPE, which has a loose silhouette similar to the traditional monpe, now has a new pattern, "track pants"! It has lines on the sides, just like sportswear track pants.

Compared to the slim-type modern MONPE developed by Unagi no Nedoko, Farmers' MONPE has silhouette that is wider from the waist to the calves. It is recommended for those who want a loose fit, those who use it for work or exercise, and those who are concerned about the narrowness below the knee of modern MONPE.

The fabric is made from Kurume Kasuri, a type of fabric produced in the Chikugo region in the south of Fukuoka Prefecture. It is woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom to create a loose, airy fabric that becomes more comfortable the more you use it.
It is highly breathable, absorbent, and dries quickly, making it especially useful in the summer.

The lines are actually stripes!

MONPE has horizontal lines like sportswear "track pants."
These lines are actually created using the "stripes" technique!
Normally, Kurume Kasuri stripes are placed all over the fabric, but the "track pants" have stripes only on the edges of the fabric.
The pattern is only complete once it becomes a MONPE.
