It has a smooth texture and doesn't get sticky even when you sweat.

Farmers' MONPE, which has a loose silhouette similar to the shape of traditional monpe, has added a new product, "Kurume Kasuri Chijimi"!
Compared to regular Kurume Kasuri, the fabric has an uneven texture, making it less sticky even when you sweat, and giving it a smooth feel.

Compared to the modern slim-type MONPE developed by Unagi no Nedoko, Farmers' MONPE has a wider silhouette overall from the waist to the calves.
Recommended for those who want a loose fit, those who wear them for work or exercise, and those who are concerned about the slimness below the knee of modern MONPE.

The fabric used is Kurume Kasuri, produced in the Chikugo region in southern Fukuoka Prefecture.
The fabric is woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom to create a loose, soft fabric that is airy and will soften and conform to your body the more you use it.
It is highly breathable, absorbent, and dries quickly, making it especially useful from spring to summer.

Smooth to the touch
The secret is in the "tension of the thread"

How can unevenness be created in plain weave fabric? The secret lies in the "tension of the thread."

In normal Kurume Kasuri, the warp and weft threads are woven with the same tension (strength of tension in the threads), but in Chijimi weaving, two types of warp threads with different tensions are set on the loom.
The warp threads are arranged alternately in a taut state (let's call it 100%) and in a slightly relaxed state (about 70%).
The difference between tension and looseness created by changing the tension creates unevenness in the fabric, giving it a crisp feel.
