The Japan Gummy Association was founded in 2013 by its first chairman, Keisuke Musha, as a doujin activity on social media with the aim of promoting gummy candies in Japan from the bottom up. He formed GU MMIT, and has been holding events to promote "Gummy Day" on September 3rd and "Ura Gummy Day" on March 9th.
